Mr. Luxury Ski
This 35,000-square-foot mountain oasis brings relaxation and healing to the next level with beautifully appointed treatment rooms, an indoor mosaic lap pool showcasing breathtaking views, and separate his and hers relaxation rooms with serene meditation areas warmed by a crackling fire.
Mr. Luxury Ski booked the Alpine Body Bliss treatment for a Swedish-style massage and aromatherapy in a sweet spa suite looking out over the snowy slopes. If you had a hard-charging powder day, opt for the Alpine Body Rescue for a deep, targeted sport massage followed by a therapeutic heat wrap.
Whether you get a massage or a facial, arrive at least an hour before your treatment for a sweat, steam, and soak in the well-appointed locker rooms. The men’s includes a steam room, a redwood sauna, two hot tubs (one private to men’s spa guests only and another coed option facing the mountain), and a relaxation room (tea, dried fruit and granola tastefully served alongside the latest copies of The Economist and Wall Street Journal). Even the showers are relaxing—Mr. Luxury Ski is fond of the spa's custom body wash with notes of cedar and lavender.
This spa is part of the Montage Deer Valley, and fans of the Montage brand’s Laguna Beach and Beverly Hills flagships will love this mountain translation, a ski-in, ski-out hotel wedged into the head of Empire Canyon where a silver mine once stood. Among the standout features are the Montage Deer Valley’s museum-quality collection of Western art, including Carl Rungius panoramas, John James Audubon prints, and Frederic Remington portraits.
