Mr. Luxury Ski

Sore from skiing? Mr. Luxury Ski prescribes an "elixir" or "potion," mixed up at Vail's new hot spot, The Remedy Bar at The Four Seasons. The tony hotel's new bar is a $2.5 million addition that delivers exactly what the doctor ordered after a day on the hill: Prohibition-themed sips and an extensive craft beer list.

Vail's new Remedy Bar is good for what ails you.

The bar food menu pays homage to Colorado's emerging culinary culture with a menu of shareable dishes. You can't go wrong with the Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup, "South of the Border" chips and dip, "Foremost" chicken sandwich, or spicy tuna flatbread. Save room for the dish de resistance: "Haute" Chocolate, the most decadent chocolat chaud we've experienced to date. Theatrical in its service, piping hot milk is poured over a lattice of swiss chocolate that melts before your eyes. Complete with homemade chantilly cream, and marshmallows and consider yourself sated. Repeat if you dare. (It's available for one or two people for $16 or $28, respectively...and worth every penny).

The decor offers a feeling you are visiting an eccentric relative's mountain hideaway. Designed by New York-based Meyer Davis Studio, industrial cues mix with stonework and leather paneling highlighting the latest in alpine chic. The focal point of the action has to be the massive wall-sized 165" television screen making this is perfect place to take in a game. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer unobstructed views of the Rockies, while the custom zinc bar and 360-degree fireplace provide guests ample opportunity to work, relax, and connect. Be sure not to miss the custom fire pits on the patio which overlook the massive heated pool and cabanas.
